Quick update on our team
Ana-Maria, Tax Senior & IRS Enrolled Agent – Ana continues to grow and excel in her role while managing a growing teenager at home. Her expertise surrounding tax compliance and research along with her commitment to our clients has made her invaluable to our team….just as invaluable as Connor Bedard is to the Blackhawks. If you didn’t know Ana is a loyal Blackhawks fan.
Rene, Admin/Tax Support – Rene continues to also grow and handle more responsibility. Many of you may have spoken to Rene as he primarily handles our phones and billing. He's also attending nights/weekends classes pursuing his accounting degree.
Marian, Bookkeeper – Marian consistently goes above and beyond for our clients and has played a key role in building our bookkeeping services. If you’re a business owner, our bookkeeping packages are absolutely worth considering.
For myself, my head continues to stay down, focused on building a premier CPA firm that rivals and challenges what a traditional CPA firm provides. As you may know, I left one of the top accounting firms in the world, way back in 2012 with the burning drive to use my entire skillset to make a genuine impact in my community. My life mission is to fight wealth disparities through educational stimulus, and it just so happens I know a lot about accounting and tax, the backbone of what drives our capitalistic world and literally the language of business.
With that being said, here are a few office updates to expect for this upcoming tax season.
We've updated our back-end systems to provide you a smoother, easier process for tax preparation.
Expect an email in a few weeks with information on how to setup your tax portal which will be your central location for documentation upload and communication. For now, you can always request access to your dedicated client folder.
We continue to add excellent talent to the team.
Our newest hire, Hector Pardo, joins the team with extensive experience in general compliance and internal operations. He's the brains behind the improved back-end systems that we'll all get to experience soon. He's also taking on payroll manager duties so expect to run into him if you ever need payroll services.
Jackson Flores, restaurant consultant, has been on the team as an independent contractor for a few years now jumping into our larger restaurant clients that require more involved services such as operations and infrastructure optimization, people and culture compliance, and branding and community strategy.
We're also actively looking for another tax preparer to add to the team, so if you know of anyone, please send them our way! 🙂
